Meet the Program Coordinator – Dr. Dan Stitch
Led by Dr. Dan Stich, Associate Professor of Biology, biology graduate students engage closely with professional scientists, labs and state-of-the-art research methods focusing on ecology and environmental science. As a fishery biologist by training, Stitch works alongside students and faculty to conduct hands-on research and study using the Biological Field Station, Otsego Lake and its surrounding lands as a dynamic classroom.
About Our Faculty
Our faculty of scientists are lifelong learners who thrive on developing students to carry on biological studies through their personal and professional lives. We work side by side with students on boats, in streams and classrooms to develop scientific curiosity through independent observation, critical inquiry, problem solving and communication skills. Students are encouraged to participate in faculty research or follow the biological study path that best matches their interests.
