Overview

SUNY Oneonta Computer Science majors study the theoretical and practical applications of computer science. Topics include programming, operating systems, web programming, robotics, computer graphics, numerical computing and artificial intelligence. We offer related majors in Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration and Digital and Studio Art, and minors in Mathematics and Computer Information Technology.

Hands-On Learning

Seminars and independent study projects will allow you to work with faculty members in special areas of interest. Computer Science students regularly compete against other colleges and universities in a programming competition and present projects at the university’s annual Student Research and Creative Activity Day. Recent topics have included 3D printing, cryptographic libraries and building a custom Raspberry PI quadrotor.
